Arthur E.C. Zentner (Art) - Profile

Work Experience: Art's current position is Senior Partner (and President) with BGM Services. He has lead consulting engagements in the past with some of the largest companies in their industries such as General Electric, American Express, and Bombardier. Most recently he has been working with the National Bank of Canada, MasterCard division. Another ongoing and primary focus is on business and product development for The Capability Group, a leading Six Sigma consulting firm based in Boston, MA. He has developed many strategic partners for the firm, which has helped BGM become one of the leaders in its field.

Before launching a career in consulting, he devoted 13 years with the General Electric Company (GE). His last leadership role with GE was in the Six Sigma Quality organization as a Master Black Belt, leading Working Capital Teams to improve cash management processes. Prior positions at GE were as Chief Information Officer of GE Hydro in Montreal, Quebec; and Finance as Chief Financial Officer for GE Motors in Peterborough, Ontario. He was also a Corporate Auditor, traveling throughout North America to lead financial and process reviews of GE businesses. All GE roles included leading teams, hiring/promoting the best, downsizing/dispositions, developing models/methodologies; always resulting in generating value and furthering his career.

Credentials: Art has designed, written, and delivered Six Sigma training materials for professionals at various company levels (executives, business leaders, middle managers, and project leaders). In addition, extensive consulting and coaching engagements have been conducted to support Six Sigma initiatives. He is also a Certified Master Black Belt, which is recognized in International Quality circles by Fortune 500 Companies. Art has consistently produced hard financial results in all his roles and expects to deliver the same for his clients. With these credentials and proven track record, art is in constant demand for his services.

Education: He has a Bachelor of Commerce, Major in Finance and minor in Managerial Law, from Concordia University in Montreal. Art has successfully completed several General Electric sponsored courses and training programs such as the prestigious GE Financial Management Program, Advanced Financial Management Course and Six Sigma Black Belt and Champion Training Programs. Ongoing education includes software training on advanced process analysis tools and attendance to specialized seminars (i.e, Computer modeling and Six Sigma Best Practices).
